Some brief thoughts on bringing people together when they can’t be together.

by Matthew Austin

Over the past year MAYK has been thinking about and testing ways that we can create togetherness while not being physically together.

From an all-request Spotify party, to the redevelopment of live performance projects into intimate audio experiences, to re-imagining what festivals might feel like in the future, this kind of action research has, at times, just felt like we’ve been doing our jobs - helping make happen what needs to happen - but now feels like the beginnings of some deeper thinking about how technology can help us create richer experiences for audiences everywhere, not just those people in the room.

We’ve used the short-form audio structure we use for our Thought Residencies to offer some very brief thoughts on this and a couple of other things. You can listen to them here.
